Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 June 2026

namebadger (“we”, “us”) is operated by Eightyfour. This policy explains what data we handle and why. Questions? Email team@eightyfour.dev.

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash). An account is created only when you choose to pay.
  • The names you enter — the names and businesses you type or upload are used to generate your badge PDF.
  • Payment — the £1 day pass is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; Stripe handles them under its own privacy policy.

Cookies & local storage

What we use to run the app:

  • an essential session cookie set by our server;
  • browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember the list you’re working on (and your cookie choice).
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — only if you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner. It sets Google’s own cookies and helps us understand how the site is used. Choose “Reject” and no analytics cookies are set; the app works exactly the same.

How we use your data

Solely to provide the service: signing you in, generating your label PDFs, and processing the day-pass payment. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Third parties involved: Stripe (payments) and, with your consent, Google Analytics (usage statistics).

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. The names you upload are used to generate your PDF and are not published or shared. Ask us to delete your account and data at any time.

Your rights

If you’re in the UK/EU you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, email team@eightyfour.dev.
